If anyone is familiar with fishing at Lake Kapowsin in Pierce County I’d appreciate any tips. I am taking my 9 year old son there in a couple weeks. Probably relying on bank fishing unless someone has a canoe to rent.

Thank you in advance.

Break ins are still common, yes lots of snags, panfish are slowing down with the water temperature dropping so it's not the fast and furious action of summertime anymore. Crappie bluegill redear and perch will still hit a bobber and worm but not aggressively like last month. Never had much luck with trout except slow trolling a jointed rapala which is a dangerous game in that lake if you don't know the channels and the hidden logs. For bank fishing it is just slow right now fish are moving to deeper water. Try a slow retrieve of a micro crank bait in bass perch or trout patterns and you will pickup a few aggressive crappie and bass

We had fun shore fishing today but didn’t catch anything. Anybody know someone with a canoe and shore access who would rent it to me?
