Your hunting and fishing destination!

September found me in Alaska, fly fishing the silver salmon run with family and friends. That was pretty cool. Have done this quite a few times over the years. Always enjoy. Lots of bears this year.
October, made a trip to Wyoming for mule deer & pronghorn. Good trip with friends:
And since then have been doing some upland bird hunting here in Washington, with mixed success:
How 'bout you folks? How was your 2018 season?

Thanks! That's "Clark" a German Wirehaired Pointer. He's 10 now and has slowed a bit, but honestly I think he's hunting better than ever.
Here he's on point, with a hen pheasant:
With my son and a rooster:
Relaxing at home:
He's a great dog, so happy to have him in my life, not just for the hunting.

Nice Pup! I have a German Shorthaired Pointer that is an absolute fiend for chasing birds.

Ya, that's part of their nature. Clark is pretty mellow at home, but dang! Take the shotgun out of the gunsafe and he starts pinging off the walls! :)
Turns into a real hunting machine when we're out for birds. I dearly love hunting with a good dog.

I filled my bear tag on a 9 mile trek in for 4 days trip. Missed my elk at 25 yards, arrow hit a twig. No deer.

I did not do so good hunting and fishing in 2018.
Only caught one salmon at the Nisqually river, did not see any deer , the only elk I saw was in the back of someones truck, only shot two ducks.
My season did not go so well, however I did enjoy being out in the woods.
