Wife and I were only able to be there for an hour or so, but had a great time. Nice to put faces to names.
Thanks to all who made the shoot possible!

That was a great way to spend a day!
Huge thanks to Dj_fatstyles for spending so much time with me discussing/shooting suppressed weapons. By the looks (and sound) of it, I've got some money to spend! Thanks to Lamrith for letting me shoot the suppressed scorpion, very cool! Thanks to Madpick for wrapping up the day by letting me shoot some older tools of freedom (and oppression). Don't worry z66, I shot the open top for you! Big thanks to Guns4liberty for swapping his can on to the CMR-30! That little carbine NEEDS a suppressor!
Special thanks to Mashman for the 3" shell in the Shockwave. My hand still hurts fucker!
And of course thank you to all who brought canopies, heaters, food, generators, etc and worked to make this such a successful event! Hell of a way to start 2018!

This was awesomely fun! I had some family from out of town and some close friends with me and they were blown away by how kind and generous everyone was all the time with everything. Once we got in the car, the conversation was about making this event a traditional outing for us. I've never been to something like this before, so I really didn't know what to expect, but any expectations I had were blown away. Also, the soup/chili stuff (Cdonigan?) was fantastic with some of the smoked pork (Lamrith?) on top.
Also, someone shot at the first tannerite when the countdown was at 2! I didn't realize premature detonation was a problem with this group, but now I have confirmation that it is.

Hmmm, you're the second person to mention that particular combo . . . ok, we'll have to make sure to feature them together next year. kellybachand wrote: Also, someone shot at the first tannerite when the countdown was at 2! If anyone wants to tattle on whoever opened fire early, I'd be happy to find a suitable avatar for them to use for a while . . . .

Rita has video of the whole thing taken from close to the gun jumpers. We'll upload it tomorrow, we're beat for today.

Dan has a mag of yours also as recommend an adjustable gs block, heavier buffer and that I hope should take care of it. But i'd see what Jody would do first.

Agreed that was an awesome rifle. Thanks for letting me try it! As Ops said, Dan has a mag of yours.

Super great day. The kind feels from everyone and all the sharing made for such an incredible day to kick off the new year. Super special thanks for the awesome food out there today. kellybachand wrote: Also, someone shot at the first tannerite when the countdown was at 2! I didn't realize premature detonation was a problem with this group, but now I have confirmation that it is. I'm very embarrassed, that was my accident. On 3, I took the gun off safe. 2. I went to slowly take up the slack on the (2 stage) trigger.... pop... oh crap. It was a feeling of giddy from popping the boomer and utter mortification at being THAT guy! I'd be happy to chip in a donation to help keep the forum running if that would help atone.
