A month ago I received an inquiry for my services. This person wanted to know I could perform a transfer for her husband that had won a Henry in a charity auction. Knowing this person but, having not yet met her husband I obliged and we made arrangements. I contacted Henry and exchanged information. The rifle arrived and a day later he picked it up. It was a nice rifle with a special serial number and such a high polish that I had to get a poor angle for this image else have the camera in the reflection.

Two nights ago I received another email from the same woman. “Without going into a long story...” is how it started. Henry had sent the wrong rifle. Oddly, all the paperwork from Henry matched. Someone made a mistake. The man had already sent back the rifle and Henry had already shipped overnight for AM delivery the correct rifle but, didn’t think to contact me. Sure enough, the first delivery of the day was the new Henry also with a special serial number.

Needless to say, he was very happy to pick up his new rifle.

I'm not usually into the whole commemorative gun thing . . . but THAT is pretty awesome.

I'm with both of you on this. I wonder if he'll ever shoot it, or only keep it on the wall in the mount that it came with.

It seems most people that see my Henrys, always comment, "Wow those are beautiful, I wanna get one same day when I have extra cash". Then they unload 5 $1000+ ARs to shoot at the range.

A Henry is not as expensive as most people think. 700 will get you a new one while a thrifty guy can find used or consigned ones in the 500 range often.

They make a great rifle. I love them.
