He knows the amount of electronics correlates to the amount and effort of time he helps with the deck.

He’s usually a whiny kid... but the last few days he’s been a non-stop helper. I’ll take it!

And those neon socks are OSHA safety colors.

Exactly why they left when you pointed at the socks. :wink05:

Small victories...one at a time...

Then, at some point, even when griping to friends...'yeah, it sucks, but I kinda like doing it...'

Killer deck Dan.

I've been busting my ass helping my buddy with his deck for the last five weekends. His wife brought munchies by today and asked him how much he was paying me. He said "same as always, nothing". She fakes a shocked look, winks at me and says "Double it"!

I have to provide my own munchies.. But, ribs are hitting the smoker in a couple hours, hungry? I'll triple your current pay rate.

Whatta pal Dan. Tempting offer. Sadly, in my case you get exactly what you pay for. Double or triple.

Deck project continues! Got quite a bit done today, including a wicked sunburn.

Took me a bit of time to get around to doing it, but my stair redesign vision turned out better than I had expected. I frankly love it. I had some help from friends and am motivated to get projects done. But I demo'd most of it and planned the general design, and I cut probably half the boards, stained most of them, and laid every board on this project, and a LOT of work went into it.

Very very pleased at how it turned out. All within building code specs too!

Before and after.

Haven’t updated my deck progress in a couple weeks. Only really able to work on it during the weekends and on occasion after work.

She’s coming along nicely though!
