"proof of concept". Now I need to make another 20' of them to cap the firepit. Hardieplank siding for the forms, same as the siding used on the post wraps and roof fascia. Needs to be a little wetter next time to fill the voids better

That's a great idea using the hardi for texture

I've done some artistic projects where we used sand and cement, no aggregate to get all the detail out of the mold

Have to rub it into the mold to get all those air bubbles out. We did mix it a little wet too

Continuing with some more leather projects.

Made a blade cover and over-strike guard for my Garrett Wade Tomahawk.

Not too bad for a few hours work.

I hate plumbing!
With that said, I R&R'd the garbage disposal and got the dishwasher working correctly once again. :wagwoot:

My son wanted me to build him something like this for his apartment:

Here is what I made him, out of parts I had laying around, and a few new parts

That looks like a lot of money in plumbing parts
Very cool, but after buying some plumbing stuff for a well pump replacement job, I'm too cheap to ever build anything like that if I had to buy the parts at retail

Got my lift back. Hung drywall. Now got the kids learning how to mud & tape - soon they will learn they should have paid attention while mudding because next up is sanding the lumpy mud smooth.

Had some fun over the stairs. Built a platform since the lift don't work on stairs and the ceiling is too high anyway.

mudding little by little, the thicker it is the harder its to sand down and dry.... a fan circulating helps and a little heat
