Not exactly a tool, close enough...

The trailer I picked up today has these cages welded underneath. No idea what they might have been used for. There’s a spare tire carrier right behind them on the curb side so I doubt it would have been for that

Just seems odd that there is so little support in the middle of whatever would have been put in there

Whatever that was for was very lightweight. I would cut that crap off myself, It's nothing but a "catch" for something that passes under the Truck.
I still hold my CDL A with double's and Triples even though i haven't been behind the wheel of a Truck in 25 years.

Oh, and i miss PMB who authored this thread.... i hope he is doing well.

Don’t know it’s previous life, but I see a lot of trailers packing spill kits underneath like that...

Screw , no nail , no wait it’s a screw ……WTF :frust:
So I’ve never seen screws like these before.
Looks like you could drive them in with a hammer but remove them with a screwdriver.
A brief back story. I pulled these out of the head of a pickaroon. The pickaroon came from Twisp, Washington.
Twisp was a logging town from approx. 1945 to 1980.
Any old timers out there ever use such a screw ? And if so what for ?
