So, while convalescing after shoulder surgery, I've been sleeping downstairs in a recliner. Generally I'm wearing sweats, and I've been keeping my trusty Eagtac Clicky in my pocket to light my way to the head or whatever. Well, I managed to leave it in my pocket and it went through the wash. This shouldn't be a big deal, the light's rated to 2 meters submerged, except it had the light set on "moon", which means the O-ring wasn't seated completely, so a bit of water got inside. Still no big deal, take the light apart, dry everything and let it sit on top of a heat register to dry out for a couple of days, should be fine. Not. The tail cap switch got mushy and no longer worked all the time, so, take the tail cap assembly apart, figure out why it got mushy (if the battery's not up against the spring, it's possible to push the tail cap too far and unseat the mechanism, fairly easy fix). Got it to where it was sort of working, but now, I can't screw in the head any longer. I've cleaned up the threads, but it'll only start and go about one turn and jams. I took apart my wife's titanium Clicky and tried using it's head, but the same thing. The head from mine spins into hers no problem, so the problem's in the body of mine. I can't see or feel anything obviously wrong even under a strong magnifier, I've drug first a toothpick and then a steel right angle probe through the threads, and while I can feel a few places where it's a bit rough, not enough to cause what I'm seeing.

It's easy to get it cross threaded, and hard to get it to "click" by backing it out to find the start of the threads, then going forward. It's about 1/16" shy of seating, and the threads are kind of fine. I've tried putting a bit of grease on them, but that didn't seem to make any difference, and it all came back off when I ran the flat of a broken toothpick around the threads to clean out any trash, so now it's just polished metal.

If the threads on Rita's light were titanium, I'd try using it to clean up the threads in mine, but they look like they're brass and I don't want to have two useless lights.

Got any ideas? I'd really like to resurrect this light, it's the WaGuns branded one a bunch of us bought from Thede & Co. quite a while back, and it's been my EDC for years and years, so long that it's probably worn off 60% of its anodization.

Their customer service is pretty good, maybe hit them up for advice.
