And it works well
1 gallon cheap white vinegar
2 cups Epsom salt
1/4 cup dish washing soap
Dissolve epsom salt in vinegar, add dish washing soap. Mix until all in solution. Pour is spray bottle. Spray weeds like a mad man.
They will be dead that day.

Frankly I was very doubtful. Dandelions basically disappear. Finer grasses need more mist spray, probably better in an el cheapo pump sprayer.
No idea how it works on the nasty stuff like vines, blackberry, equisetum. Nothing kills that stuff

I was gonna start a thread asking about some Weed Killerz as we have bought 3 different brands and none of them worked for shit, I want something that will poison the fish for the next century.
I swear the weeds out here are on fooking steroids....
Im gonna try this.

The price of some weed killers on the market put a hurt on the home budget. Roundup? No thanks.

With the winnings from the class action lawsuit you wouldn’t have to worry about a budget, or any lawn care at all.
I tried this concoction last year and it did nothing. I’ll have to try again.

That is an excellent name for my next goat. Thank you.

Dafuq. I was just doing yardwork today looking at the lawn going wtf am I going to do about this weed infestation and you post this.
I got a 4 legged shit so I can't do chemicals - was thinking of just murdering the whole yard with a tarp covering it all and starting from scratch. Wish I could find a deal on a tiller.

Just pour/spray the vinegar on the weeds. The higher the acid content the better.

Honestly, I've been doing yard work since I was 9 years old, including several years as a professional landscaper in my late teens/early 20s. If you have concerns (kids, pets, gardens, groundwater, etc.) about using harsh herbicides like Round-up, Crossbow, or Casoron, then the real answer is to get out there and pull the weeds. It's not the answer people want to hear, but removing them and then staying on top of them before they can go to seed is the key. The salt and vinegar home remedies work on some weeds but not on others, and they're not safe for use on your lawn anyway (if it's strong enough to kill the weeds, it's strong enough to kill the grass). Pulling weeds is tiresome and it's not fun, but it's safe and fairly effective.
If you go the harsh chemical route, I recommend Ortho Weed-B-Gon over Round-up. It's safe for your lawn and it's effective on everything but blackberries and bamboo (you need Crossbow for that).

Good point. This is NOT for lawn weeds. I don't mind pulling weeds in the lawn or beds. What I was spraying were weeds in cracks. Tough to get the roots and all. So far I am happy with the results and price.
Worst things are neighbors who don't control weeds.

#Truth
My next-door neighbors are running a dandelion farm in their front yard. Those little bastards go to seed, and the wind generally blows them onto my lawn. I've started going over there when they're not home and using my Dyson to suck up all the dead heads before they fall/blow away. Anyone who sees me probably thinks I'm crazy.

I never had any luck with Roundup.
Ortho Weed B Gone worked great on our corner lot in Bellevue.
For blackberries, I bought a dozen or so cheap samurai swords on TOS.
The kids would ASK if they could go in the back yard and cut blackberries.
