My bike is in my storage box w/o power and I need to change out the chain. It has the original chain still on w/o the c-clip, meaning I'll have to break it off.
Without having to spend as much $$$ as I did for the chain itself, what chain breaking tool is good to use?
How much and where did you get it?
(anyone got one I could borrow? Edgewood or Auburn area)

my favorite chain breaker is my small honda generator and a small grinder with cut off wheel.

So the new chain is an exact fit?? most are extra long to fit many bikes so cutting will have to happen there as well.

Its not unusual that the sprockets are worn as much as the chain and would normally recommend considering replacing those as well at the same time

I second that. Can use it to cut new chain also. Just grind off head of pin and punch it out. Get new masterlink and your done

I second the angle grinder...that's what i use. (sparks are an added BONUS)

*I always buy exact fit...no mods. Also change to clip for anything less than 600cc (my opinion, yours will very)
