Kroil is great but the smell is pretty aromatic...........

I use WD40 and Corrosion X. Love both, but Corrosion X is my go to for most jobs and especially electronic device fixin.

WD-40 is like a jackknife. I doesn't do any one thing really well, but it does a lot of things adequately. I keep a small can in my truck.

Last week, I was at a park with the dogs. A pine tree had a branch partially broken where someone had been hanging on it. I decided to fetch my saw and remove it cleanly. I succeeded, but managed to get my hands covered with pine sap. WD-40 and a paper towel took care of that quick, fast, and in a hurry!

Old wives tales say it's good for arthritis, I'm skeptical.

I buy it by the gallon at O'Reilleys, $25 out the door. Dump it in a couple of spray bottles and use it all around the shop and house.

It's not a miracle product, but damn sure works well for general purpose use, and I use it a lot for lubing fasteners and such when working on rigs and stuff.

No way. Kroil is great for penetrating, but that's about it; it's a pretty specialized product. It's not very good for general lubrication, and has almost zero rust prevention ability. I guess it's OK for cleaning, if you care to waste it for that.

My go to is Fluid Film. I got hooked on it when I used it on the jetskis before it was even in stores, online only. That stuff is fantastic, but smells like shit.

The WD-40 I have always had was in a spray can, so I couldn't tell if it was milky or clear. I don't use it on much, but it is a good solvent for getting road tar off the side of my vehicles.

It also works well to get the sticky residue from stickers off of things. WD-40 dissolves the sticky stuff and then soap and water gets rid of the WD-40.
