So I had a weird itch to make a lamp out of pipe and random old parts. This weekend project extended into Monday.
75% of the time was spent sourcing parts from my basement and getting the nine different thread sizes and pitches to fit together.
I'm pretty pleased with the results and best parts, cost = $0 and nothing is newer than 40 years old. I thought about painting it but wife said to leave it alone.

Very cool!! I can just hear my wife saying "you're going to scratch the table!" so I'd have to create some kind of felt-bottom base. But that's awesome, even more since you didn't have to buy any of the parts!

Sorry that's not to safety standards! The air valve needs to have a TPMS.

Then, it’s time for OSHA-approved steampunk AR15!

Nice lamp! Would have been cool to incorporate on/off rotary switch into faucet valve handle. Still very creative. Great job!

nicely done, and agree with the wife that painting takes away from it.

Just explain to her that the table is becoming more desirable as you "distress" it.

Looks good! Ive thought about building something like it, but thats about $200 in fittings that could fix several machines and plumbing or air lines! Threaded iron is expensive these days.

Good job!

I like this idea, I have an extra valve that I might fashion to go around the twist switch.
