Pool guys were here today to begin cleaning up the pool, first step was to drain the 12,000 gallons +/- of swill out of the pool, creating a lake in my back drive way the shell is not supposed to be two-tone pressure washing and scrubbing

I got up early this morning and buried some 1" conduit under pathway that will soon be concrete The pool guys showed up and started cleaning up the dirt around the pool then they went to work on the inside, getting rid of the scale and scum we should be ready to refill the pool today and possibly be swimming in a day or two

That looks great!
What’s your plan for the dirt area around the pool? Grass, or rock of some sort?

Nice! I guess grass makes zero sense when you’d have to water it 24/7 to keep it green in that climate. Added bonus of not having grass blow into your pool when you mow, win win.

I actually have a lot of grass, it takes me two hours to mow it all...and you don't have to water it 24/7, just once a day or once every other day

After the pool was cleaned they leveled out the dirt around the pool and brought in gravel Then we refilled the pool, it looks pretty ugly, lots of sediment and iron in the water Then we fired up the pump and began filtering the water If it doesn't come clean we will try the clarifier, if that doesn't work, we will pay someone to bring us clean water

This has been one hell of a project!
Hopefully you can get that water cleaned up. I suspect you can.

Hopefully that's irrigation water and not your house water!
Project is looking good though! That is a project we will be tackling next spring, not sure which route we are going yet though.

The clarifier worked as advertised, there is some sediment stuck to the side of the pool that will need to be scrubbed I spent a couple hours cleaning and it is looking much better

Bet your sand filter is nasty now. You have to replace media once it's all clean?
