Why I didn't do this a long time ago, dunno.
I sharpened 8 chains today, which led me to this question;
How many sharpenings can these chains handle before tossing them?

I've had really good luck with the Pferd system. Stihl has Pferd make them in orange as well. Great when in the field. https://www.pferd.com/int-en/products/f ... /cs-x-3-2/

I have used an Oregon electric bench chain grinder for over 40 years. Terrific rig.
I run chains down until the teeth no longer meet in the middle of the cut - they look like little triangles from the top before I will pitch them out. Rakers get taken down at least 5 thou from the top of the teeth from new, and repeatedly filed down as the teeth are sharpened and shortened through the life of the chain. Your saw will want to dig in and bog until you get the hang of power application and feeding the saw on starting a cut, but with skip tooth chisel chain, you don't get chips, you get 3 inch long shavings and a really speedy cut.
All my saws for milling and felling are Husqvarna 2100's though. Big horsepower. I use 32 inch bars for most felling, bucking, and limbing. Got a 60 inch bar for the big stuff.

Orange saws are good. But not the swedish flavor. Only good things that ever came out of sweden are meatballs and vaginas.

The saws are good. Real good. Not as good as the Swedish beavers though.
The only saw I ever had that pulled harder was an old Pioneer with a glass float bowl fuel filter housing - that bitch would pull your arms off if you didn't have the dogs set in the wood as you stared a cut.

That’s odd, my Husky runs just fine. I gave all my Stihls away because they broke.

Them swedish saw suspenders wont even hold my britches up tight. Stihl's suspenders are made to hold up britches that are full of oversize penis. I think them swede spenders probably work good for holdin up panty hose tho!
