Well, I've never really been into modeling, other than just a little stab at it in my pre-high school youth.
I had a 4'x8' HO railroad layout with some hills, trees & grass, along with a few plastic kit buildings that I put together. Fun times. Even subscribed to
Model Railroader magazine.
I also made a number of badly assembled Revell cars & aircraft.
Well, I now have the time and space to do it up right.
And I now have a much bigger supply of patience and can afford the proper tools...
So, the first project is a Skipjack wooden sailboat. This one is NOT for use on water, it's for display only. However, if things go well, the next one will have RC capabilities and will (hopefully) float.
I stared at this box over the last 4 months while getting my courage ready:
