It has Seattle Parks markings on it. It's parked at the north end of Alki Elementary on a large grass field. I thought it was a thatcher or aerator at first. I had to google the model.

I gave up and googled it

Wonder if it works on needles

Those are sand skimmers. Normally for cleaning the top few inches of a beach. Not sure why it would be on a playground but maybe there are new fancy parts for doing grass.

Correct, it's essentially a Zamboni for beaches. It's parked about two blocks from the sandy section of Alki beach.

Sifting the hypodermic needles out of the sand? Is that what was meant by "I wonder if it works on needles?"

Down in SoCal the metal detector folks HATE them. Makes the sand look all pretty but picks up all the nickels, bottle caps, bikini buckles, and costume jewelry.

Well, it is the evergreen state. Pine needles or hypodermic needles. 50/50

Have seen wrenches like that with old motorcycle tool kits. My dad had an old BSA with one similar to that.

FYI: most pickup trucks have built in bottle openers on the tailgate, one for righties and one for lefties. I'm using the left hand one because I'm using my right hand to take the picture.

Reminds me of a trip to Hawaii a few years ago. Wife and I snorkeled to a private little cove. You could not walk to it, had to swim to it and brave some surf as it broke across the entrance. A younger couple swam into to same hole. He had a six pack, but no opener. He asked if I had one, I said sure. I found a properly spaced crag in the lava and popped it open. He and his lady friend were amazed. Saved his 'date', and the little shit didn't even offer us a beer. Of the generation that probably lost their minds and called in sick today because of the cell outage.

Picked this up yesterday at a garage sale, in a box of miscellaneous tools.
