No...I'm not telling you where they are...

The 37 Ford Model 79 Fire Truck is actually a surplus U.S. Army truck. You can see the original OD green on the firewall. 47,000 original miles. Still has lube service stickers on the door post showing it being serviced at 44,000 in 1955.

I find this stuff strictly by word of mouth from other's I have done estate stuff for. Pay's to have a good reputation in the barter world.

The Caddy is a 1960 Fleetwood...up on blocks since 1978...classic Hank Williams ride...

That Caddy is sick.

You should rename this thread to "Waguns American Picker"

That would be elevating American Picker to the status of real finds, not scripted reality TV.

Having said that, that firetruck is sick. Gonna restore it to Army condition or as a firetruck?

It's virtually flawless...I could only find 1 SMALL dent. Didn't want to rub all over it with the dust on it. Still has the original paint.

Gonna....GO ARMY! The fire gear was added in 1948 so I'm gonna take it back to White Star on the door days...

Probably won't have too hard a time selling that vintage fire fighting gear to help fund the restoration

Don, those are really spectacular. thumbsup

Are you now the owner of these? Or are these just finds, and they're staying with the original owners?

dang that Caddy takes me back, My 2nd car was a 61 Caddy I got from a guy I went to school with. Looking back it was surprising how advanced they were for a car from the early 60`s and the 390 GM made from 59-61 (I think that was the 3 years they made the 390) had power out the ass. Those are some cool finds
