If you have four 1 ton chain hoists and enough rated points in proximity...we could run chains and pick it up, then lower it back down.

You've been here. Anything that you saw capable of that? I'm sure not going to hang 7000 pounds from the big glulam in the NH garage. Although it would be kind of funny to go through that much money and effort just to make the building collapse.
In truth, it's a monster glulam and would probably handle it fine if I spread the pick points far enough apart.
Ain't going to happen.

Now that's my style, I am embarrassed to admit. It was the very first thought that came to mind.

My friend down the road has the ability to lift it out though, and when he called me today to invite me over for the unloading, I felt a pang of regret that I wasn't going to get to jump the shark.
I am going to give my shoulder another try with the starter though first... It's already kind of destroyed inside, so it's not like I am going to hurt it. Right?

Noooo. Don't you have adult kids that can help? What about offering some big lug some food in return for some wrenching? (were I closer...)

I was thinking about perhaps there are beams in the garage that I wasn't really looking for/at.

I no like ask for help. Advice, yes. But I like to do the verk as much as I can myself.
I really won't be tearing it up any more than it already is. For one thing, I kind of like the challenge. It was kind of a tough job with two good arms, so I should feel especially good if I can do it with only one good one.

It's a good thought... 7000 pounds is a load that I would rather jump off the bumper though. More fun. The only downside is that I'd be driving the pickup and wouldn't feel the ground shudder as it lands.

F'in A

That's awesome

Give that task to a group of engineers and they will be busy for weeks trying to figure it out
