Can you believe it? Been a zombie for over 20 years and it’s like she hasn’t missed a beat! I’m pretty surprised she fired up, to tell you the truth.

Going for a short drive tomorrow weather permitting!

Post subject:  Re: 1926 Model TT Restoration: Update 36 - Running Gear Tes

Now that I know the engine runs it was time to test the running gear and see if the rear wheels turned . I jacked up the rear end, put the Warford transmission in Direct (2nd gear), and pulled up the emergency brake lever halfway to put the ford transmission in neutral. Battery on, and then hit the starter switch. She starts and warms up a bit. Then I let out the clutch

She sounded a little grumbly, so I let her run awhile to move the lubricants around in the ford and Warford transmissions, and in the differential. That helped quiet her down

Waiting on a new fuel regulator before first drive. The brand new one I installed was defective. Just straight-piped all 4.5 psi of fuel pump pressure into the carb, overwhelming it and causing the carb to overflow with gas. I need to get that regulated down to 1-2 psi. New regulator is scheduled to arrive Thursday

Yeah, those axles have a ton of ground clearance, so my jack stands were as high as they would go. But I had a solid 1.5 inches of elevation lol!
