What kind of wood did you use?

I'm a hack wood worker, but it's definitely on my retirement bucket list.

A little story from way back.
My friend had a neighbor who was a professional carpenter. He went around collecting free pallets.
He used the majority for the fireplace but would keep off to the side the ones made of oak.
After he had enough oak pallets. He went through the dismantling process and then redid his entire bathroom in oak.
I had a picture but lost it a terrible boating accident. (computer crash)
Everything was angle cut, sanded and stained.
I'd say if you were to buy the same setup from a big box store... probably $12,000 worth.
Beautiful stuff.

It’s all hard maple lumber and maple plywood. Good stuff for cabinetry
