The problem continues.....

Same error code 00 or D0, but I’m pretty sure it’s 00 before it shuts off

Can’t get into bios before it shuts off again

Did you install a new power supply with the new case? If so, try the old power supply.

Does the new MB have on board video? If so, try removing the video card.

What is the exact model of the new MB?

got your pm but i'm at work and can't really talk on the phone at the moment, but thanks, much appreciated!

the only new part is the case itself, but last night, when i moved everything over to the old case, same problems persisted.

ASRock X-Series X299 TAICHI DDR4 Max.128GB PCI Express SATA USB ATX

i'm wondering if i screwed up where i put the power cables to the power supply. at any rate, i think i reached my limit, and i'm going to drop it off at Computer Concepts in Bothell tomorrow morning. thanks for your help, i'll definitely follow up and post what the problem was if they find it... sucks that my wife has to use my computer for a few days and i have to use my laptop lol

Sounds good. Hope they don't charge you too much, and it's a simple fix.

I've got a honey-do list a mile long today. One of which is finally installing new window shades. I've been checking this thread between climbing up and down this ladder about 50 times.

String powered - LOL

I think this is the last year for cords on blinds. I didn't want to climb to replace batteries, or run low voltage wiring. The top windows are at 24'. Ten blinds installed, 2 more to go!

So, I received the final diagnosis earlier today and the result of the defect is from a failure in the cpu cooler. The water pump gave out after only a year and a half.

Damn corsair. So did your cpu overheat and cook or was it shutting down to prevent further damage?

It was shutting down prematurely to prevent damage. Thankful for that since my cpu is $600 :)
