Attachment: Instructor.jpg The Women’s Firearm Safety Course is based on the mid-level comprehensive textbook published by The United States Concealed Carry Association. The course is classroom-only, with 7 hours of instruction in a relaxed, informal environment where questions and discussions are greatly encouraged. Class size is limited to 5, which enhances individual interaction and hands-on learning. Topics covered in class include; Why is conflict avoidance so important? Four Universal Safety Rules Proper clearing of handguns What is muscle memory? The legal definitions of reasonable force and deadly force Keeping guns out of the hands of unauthorized individuals Students are encouraged to bring their own (UNLOADED) firearms for the hands-on demonstrations in order to become familiar with and comfortable with their personal protection device. (owning a firearm is not necessary for the class.) Students apply techniques they have learned in class with dry-fire exercises using the realistic Walther CP99 compact Co2BB airgun. Scheduled classes are located at http://www.northwestschoolofsafety.com/calendar

Wish it was closer to me.
Told the wife I'd be willing to pay for her to go, but she's not enthused about the drive...

Told the wife I'd be willing to pay for her to go, but she's not enthused about the drive... I totally hear her. One of the reason I started teaching locally was because we have nothing around here. Had to drive upwards of 2 hours for the majority of our training...:/

It's an awesome day! Even had a couple of ladies attend who's husbands/boyfriends 'made them', and they were NOT particularly overjoyed about it, (in fact, one of them was downright grumpy! O.o) but by the end of the day, each of them had tons of good stuff to say on the evals...

Haven't even been able to get her to the damn range to use the pistol I bought her (Shield 9mm w/ thumb safety). But I've enjoyed shooting it several times LOL Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I'd love to get my wife out to a class, but you are just a wee bit too far. I like supporting small business, and really like supporting those who fight for the 2A.

I have actually had students from Shelton, Rochester and Gig Harbor for this class....:) I have not really considered taking the show on the road yet, as I'm not sure how I could set it up to be cost effective--travel, hotel, meals, facility rental, equipment set-up, a full day course, equipment breakdown, travel...the course fee as it is would not cover my expenses. March's class is FULL! April's class is on Wednesday the 15th, with 3 seats left...

The ladies shoot these at 7 and 14 feet...so it should give them some confidence, as well as illustrate the most probable distance for a self defense shooting. The lady in the middle had never shot a gun before and was a bit phobic. I think she had fun, but only 4 out of 10 BBs hit the target. My hubby wasn't too happy about the dents in our door...HAHA!
