That's a true "indoor range"! :ROFLMAO:

I saw another ladies' class down in Lacey yesterday. It's aweskme to see so many women getting out there and learning!

Now if we could just get some of the men some schoolin'..... :cheers2:

Guys are cheap, hardheaded and have been "shooting" almost all their lives...
I mean we were born with a "gun"... finger gun to be specific... so how hard can it be... approach.

Plus we all want to machine gun the shit out of everything... eventually we'll get lucky and hit the target.

But actually taking a class early on can save a lot of money, bad habits from developing and a lot of frustration.
1) Money - because you won't be wasting it trying to "learn" on your own
2) Bad habits - learning on your own you try all kinds of shit - and most often learn bad habits that are hard to break (e.g. flinch, bad grip), poor shooting stances (body mechanics) and trigger control)
3) Frustration - shooting should be enjoyable. When you can't hit the side of a barn... then you look like a fool and can't shoot consistently

Emily was the instructor we saw down at I-5.

Cheers to more women learning to shoot! :thumbsup2:

One of the highlights of my training time was doing the all Women's shoots. Taking novice to brand new women shooters to do things most men have never done (shoot on the move, low light and use of flashlight).

HA Yep...I have the students wear safety glasses so they don't "shoot their eye out"...LOL! While the tall gal was shooting, the rest of the class was standing behind us chattering...a BB bounced off the door an into their midst. It was all crickets with big round eyes as one student who had removed her safety glasses slowly put them back on... icon_eek :wink05:

I am seriously considering starting a women's pistol league for my students, as they all REALLY want to shoot, but I can't teach my FIRST steps or basic pistol classes thanks to I-594. A competition is exempted in the initiative, so I am thinking of using it as a loophole to introduce my beginning students to live fire. I can loan one of the pistols I bought for my students, andmay be able to offer some gentle suggestions as they 'compete'...;)

I've had several fellas ask if I would consider teaching men, but most men don't like women telling them what to do. icon_eek I'm cool with that, and don't have anything to prove, but I have met a few men that have the kind of non threatening attitude and interest in learning that I may be tempted to offer co-ed teaching, as long as the men bring a lady with them to class--mother, wife, GF, sister, whatever...HAHA!!

Do you accept gender confusion? A few folks around these parts can just come on down in drag.

What, no targets this time? Did they all suck?

Or did hubby put his foot down about shooting in the house? :ROFLMAO:

No, my photographer did a crummy job of focusing on the target photos...so I had to use this one taken at the beginning of class...
