POLL ABOVE, I REPEAT POLL ABOVE! You are all invited to the 8th Annual New Years Shootout, Planned for Jan 1st, 2020! Yup, it's that time again. Blast away those hangovers with a tannerite volley, some good food and even better times. Where? At the Evergreen Sportsman's Club ( MAP) We will have exclusive use of the covered and benched 10-11 position 100-yard range, as well as the use of the covered and benched 25 yard pistol bay. When?January 1st, 2020 from 10am-4pm (shooting will be allowed from 11am-4pm) Why?Why the hell not! How much? Not a damn penny! WaGuns is going to cover all of the range fees. These funds are because of our generous Site Supporters, as well as our supporting vendors. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! Any additional details?A few; Small stuff:- All Shooters are required to sign a waiver provided by ESC.
- .50 BMG IS ALLOWED! Please, be considerate though.
- Slugs and buckshot only with shotguns; no birdshot allowed.
- Single port-a-potty is on site
Targets:- Target stands that accept 1x2's will be there for us to use. There will be a limited amount of sticks and cardboard on hand, so no guarantees.
- No trash / refuse to be used as targets.
- Steel is okay, and echoes nicely.
- Tannerite is allowed!! Please limit each charge to a maximum of five pounds.
- Pack out what you pack in.
Range Rules:- Gun safety is #1!
- Standard Range Rules will apply and will be posted
- Anybody who is unsafe with firearms will be asked to leave
- No loaded guns allowed behind the shooting area
- No handling guns during cold range
- The range will be run by WaGuns and hand selected RSO's.
Capacity:- TONS of parking is available
- Rifle - With 10-11 benches / stalls in the rifle range, that section can comfortably house 22 shooters (2 per station)
- Pistol - 3 benches can fit 6 people
- Plan to rotate around, share stations
- There are rifle racks and counters behind the shooting station. Plan on sharing racks and counter space
- Tents/EZ-Ups. Bring em if you want/can. You won't be able to shoot out of them, but it would be a good place to hang out while others shoot.
Food:I am sure there is more. Please contribute to the poll above if you plan on coming. Comment as well if need be!

Olydemon is no longer the only threat to my guns.

This looks like an optimal way to spend New Year's day. I've got a bunch of AR500 targets I can bring with me. Five 12x20 silhouette targets on tri-fold stands. One three plate gong rack. Two 6" poppers and a 10" gong on its own stand. I can bring it all if it'd please the crowd. I've got some spare Tannerite too.
Couple questions. Can you draw from a holster in the pistol bags? How close can I get me vehicle to the shooting area?
Never been to this facility.

Never been to this facility. Mike! the more steel and tannerite the better! As far as holster/bag drawing; We would prefer not, only because it's going to be a busy range and people are going to be in fairly tight quarters. There is a parking lot right behind the firing line, and quite a few overflow locations. Furthest distance will be 50 yards from range to vehicle.

Understood regarding holstering. As far as vehicle access goes I'm just trying to get a feel for how it works out there. I've never been to an outdoor private range before and so I'm approaching this from having spent all my time thus far shooting in the woods on public land.
I've got a 12x12 popup to bring as well.

I've got a 12x12 popup to bring as well. Pop ups are always welcome. The experience will be much different (better) than shooting on public land IMHO. This will be an RSO managed, safe environment, with a roof. Be sure to arrive before the opening volley if you can. It will be impressive. :) You will park in the parking lot that is adjacent to the range. Even if you are parked the farthest out you should not have to pack gear any farther than about 50 yards. More importantly, you get to meet, greet and eat with many like minded folks. Not to mention all the stuff to be PIF'd.
