POLL ABOVE, I REPEAT POLL ABOVE! You are all invited to the 9th Annual New Years Shootout, Planned for Jan 1st, 2022! We missed last year (Thanks COVID).... But this year IT'S ON!!! (for now) Yup, it's that time again. Blast away those hangovers with a tannerite volley, some good food and even better times. Where? At the Evergreen Sportsman's Club ( MAP) We will have exclusive use of the covered and benched 14 position 100-yard range. When?January 1st, 2022 from 10am-4pm (shooting will be allowed from 11am-4pm) Why?Why the hell not! How much? Not a damn penny! WaGuns is going to cover all of the range fees. These funds are because of our generous Site Supporters, as well as our supporting vendors. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! Any additional details?A few; Small stuff:- All Shooters are required to sign a waiver provided by ESC.
- .50 BMG IS ALLOWED! Please, be considerate though.
- Slugs and buckshot only with shotguns; no birdshot allowed.
- Single port-a-potty is on site
- WE HAVE POWER!! Limited power available now.
Targets:- Target stands that accept 1x2's will be there for us to use. There will be a limited amount of sticks and cardboard on hand, so no guarantees.
- No trash / refuse to be used as targets.
- Steel is okay, and echoes nicely.
- Tannerite is allowed!! Please limit each charge to a maximum of five pounds.
- Pack out what you pack in.
Range Rules:- Gun safety is #1!
- Standard Range Rules will apply and will be posted
- Anybody who is unsafe with firearms will be asked to leave
- No loaded guns allowed behind the shooting area
- No handling guns during cold range
- The range will be run by WaGuns and hand selected RSO's.
Capacity:- TONS of parking is available
- Plan to rotate around, share stations
- There are rifle racks and counters behind the shooting station. Plan on sharing racks and counter space
- Tents/EZ-Ups. Bring em if you want/can. You won't be able to shoot out of them, but it would be a good place to hang out while others shoot.
Food:- BYO... Food and beverage. Potluck thread is coming.. Link will be here when it's ready
- This is a no alcohol facility.
I am sure there is more. Please contribute to the poll above if you plan on coming. Comment as well if need be!

Outstanding news Dan!! Well folks, if you only attend one shoot a year, this is the one to go to. I look forward to seeing everyone who can make it. I heard a rumor that the now famous WaGuns Taco Soup will be there too.

WOOOOHOOOO! I'll have the family along and can help with food (chili) like we did in 2020, if there's space avail. Besides the potluck thread, will there be a thread for raffle donations? Or should those offers be sent directly to Dan and Steve?

The "door prizes" giveaway isn't something that we plan ahead of time. We bring tables. People bring things to give away. And we do it. Typically we'll have two different tables. One has higher-value items that we'll draw numbers, and give away at random. Then there's the table with lower-value items, basically a "if you can use it, please take it" situation.

If anyone is interested I can bring my 50bmg for members to try out. $3 a shot or bring your own ammo and you’re welcome to shoot it for free. Unlike the 2019 50, mine has sights and a scope.

Note for the list of event threads to be added - the "What would you like / wish to shoot?" thread. In 2019/20 I asked about a lever action 45-70, and wouldn't you know it, someone walked up to me at the event and handed me the rifle!

I’m in!!! Maybe I can finally get my daughter and SIL to attend, they always ask after I told about the 2019 shoot. I may bring some smoked fish this time…
