Not sure why they call it that--but according to the video, bad guys stake out a bank and watch for people leaving with bank bags/cash. Then proceed to follow them and rob them.

There might be a legal difference between the car smash and grab and knocking you down and grabbing. One might result in the BG getting the lead surprise.

Maybe it’s me but I’m always mindful of when I has lots of cash or even guns. I don’t leave anything in my car unattended and If I have no other choice I park where I can see and I’m paying more attention to my vehicle then what I’m doing.
