Hello friends! I am currently looking for a place in the National Forest near Monroe Wa for target shooting practice (free). Any suggestions and directions would be appreciated. |

Welcome. There are some places. Best thing to do is to find someone in the neighbor hood that will allow you to shoot on their land. There are some other spots along various power line clearings and a few pits. But things are fairly limited up north here. I Know you are looking for free but you might really want to consider joining a range to have a regular place to shoot. Machais let's members shoot most any time out to 200 yards and does have a monthly (most months) 500 yards practice and match. Very hard to find 500 yard shoots this side of the cascades. A lot depends on what you want to shoot mostly. BTW if you want to look around Seattle Rifle in Lake Stevens (https://www.seattlerifle.com)(And that goes for anyone else on WAGuns) shoot me a PM. I would be happy to show you around as a guest. I am allowed to take one guest with me when I shoot so if you are a safe shooter, agree to follow the rules, and willing to cover the $10 fee we can work something out. Welcome to the area. |
