Howdy
I was gone for a long time, been lurking a lot lately, so I figured I should probably say hi!

Thanks for the welcome, all. oldkim wrote: Welcome back!
Joined 2011 and just coming back is a long break. What have you been doing? Well, I was last here (logged in) I'm 2014, and I had just landed a job as a civilian working for the Navy. I immediately started working 12 hour days, 7 days a week. Needless to say, I was too tired to do anything after work.. lol. After the first 6 months(ish), life went down hill. Got kicked out of our house, then I lost 5 family members and 3 friends within 3 months, on top of having no time to spend with the wife and kids.. I ended up getting pretty heavily onto drinking. I pretty much gave up on everything else, I was a real shitbag for quite a while. It got me pretty bad into debt and I almost lost my job, seeing as I was still probationary. It took me a couple years to clean up, and I dedicated all of my time to my wife, kids and work. Got into an apprenticeship for the Gov, and really just put hammer to nails and buckled down. Guns and the forum took a major back seat. That's been most of the last 8ish years. Recently, my wife (who's pregnant again... huge age gap between the kids.. whoops!!) was physically assaulted by my childhood beat friend who recently got into some really hard drugs. This convinced her to finally start carrying, which meant I got to make my first firearm related purchase in years. That plus all the nonsense gun laws rekindled my flame for shooting, and now here I am. Never quit drinking, but I was able to make it manageable. Down to just drinking on the weekends.

Wow, that sounds like a rough spot for many different reasons, but I'm happy to hear that you're coming through and things are looking up.

There is a growing demand for schwag, but a pretty depleted inventory. I’ll start prepping for a run.
