Hi there! Glad to have found you on the web. I was looking thru the USFS website and saw the site. Well, I am new to the area, the state and I am looking for outdoor areas to shoot steel and paper. 100yards + would be fine. Always interested in meeting new people, polish my reloading skills or just have a nice conversation. Thanks and stay safe! Matt aka Oldgrumpy

Thanks! Look forward learning more about my new area. Especially where to shoot. Buy brass and bullets locally. Maybe even learn a bit more about prepping... you never know these days...

Good for you. Yes, lots of choices.
As for prepping... excellent! Smart - rough times may be coming. We do live in an earthquake zone besides all the other man made stuff.
Do plan for long term. It's not just buying some and forgetting about it. One really needs to cycle that shit out before it goes bad and use it for something and replenish and add to your stock.

Welcome to WaGuns, Matt! That's good to hear that you found us on the USFS site; we've been working with them a lot in the Greenwater area.

Welcome from another Marysville resident.
When it comes to buying locally for reloading components, Cabela's is about the only game in town. The gun shop across from the Police Station is -----------well, let's just say, a good Locksmith Shop. Gun Store? Not so much.

Not a huge fan of Cabelas... I tend not to do so well with the big chains other than Costco. Truly miss the mom&pop stores. Lets see if I can't find a good location to shoot. Coming from SC this was a bit easier there.
Have a nice Sunday and stay safe!

Have a nice Sunday and stay safe! I've found this Cabela's to have a fairly good stock of Bullets, Brass, Powder, and even primers now that the panic has lessened. Prices are so-so and I usually just buy in bulk from Powder Valley Inc (online) in order to spread the hazmat fee over 20-30 lbs of powder and several thousand primers. The best local shop is really about 45 minutes away in the small town of Alger. Kesselring's has been around since 1947 and used to be the best gun shop around. The newer members of the family that took over operation screwed up and were forced to surrender their FFL due to some lousy record keeping. I believe they still have large amounts of powder, primers, and bullets but their prices won't be a lot better than Cabela's and you have to factor in the extra drive. I like supporting the local shops too but first they have to stock what I need, and second, I don't like paying a ridiculous premium price like many seem to do.

Welcome. I may have missed it(haven't had my coffee yet), but what calibers do you reload? There's several members here that can get bulk once fired .mil brass for a good price. I suggest 2brassnuts if your looking for 5.56, and 7.62, he may do pistol cases too, I can't remember

Welcome to WAguns. When it comes to reloading there are a few choices but other than Cabbies nothing close. Let me know if you want to grab a cup of coffee or something and I can introduce you to the area. You have several options for ranges and places to shoot. I know most of them. Shoot me a PM. I run my own business so I have a pretty flexible schedule.
