Hello all, So a couple different times I've seen the logo for this site but never checked into it. Finally I helped a friend pick-up a freezer and had some 2nd ammendmant shirt on and the guy handed me a card. And with all the bs anti-firearm I kept hearing everyplace I looked I figured I better be part of something. Strength in numbers right? So here I am. And I'm definitely from Washington. Live in my family's homestead and the street I live on is actually named after my grandfather's horse. Anyhow, I hope to learn along with the rest of you and help out if I can.

Howdy RottenRyan! I think your grandfather's horse's name on your street is a good proof of WA citizenship.

I consider myself a late bloomer gun guy. I grew up with a few always around. Went hunting a few times as a kid but never really took gun ownership serious until after my kids were born 6 years ago. I've dabbled in reloading a bit but haven't purchased my set up yet. And if I had to choose a favorite "genre" it would have to be black. I love anything tactical and my bucket list isn't full yet. I should probably surf the classifieds. And maybe list some of my own.

Not sure if we're well known or not. But we did have the first car in the county (back then it was Chehalis county) Had a general store in the town of Summit. The town doesn't exist anymore but you can probably guess where it was. And all of the pileings at the end of Black Lake were once ours. Olympia shingle company and Dent logging shared the "pier" that was once there. We had the shingle company. Of course everything has been sold or taken due to a gambling problem my great grandfather had. So now it's just the wife and kid's on a couple acres. Worst part is I'm in city limits. Campfires, shooting, peeing outside, etc. doesn't happen.

Nice lineage. I used to live off of Black Lake and have navigated those pier remnants on my jetski a number of times. I hail from the Oly Beer family, so we also have deep roots in the area.
I'm just outside of City Limits off of Cooper Point, so I can shoot my handgun only, which I do suppressed.

What I lack at home I make up for at work. I work at a small sheetmetal shop in Rochester and the owner is a gun nut. The shop is at his house and he's got his own range set up and we can shoot on lunch or off hours. Every so often he'll bring out something to play with...new or old. Even our Christmas party was a little competition with 1911's. He's also partially to blame for my knowledge

The horse's name was Cavalier Gale. He was a trotter. And I have no idea how far they traveled to the races. I'm not a horse guy...I'm an off-road guy. Give me an engine over another animal's brain any day.

Welcome aboard! BTW, your bucket list will likely never be full. Just sayin'. Let us know if you ever want to shoot over at Evergreen Sportsman's Club. I'm one of the RSOs there.

Cool, I might take you up on that offer. That's actually one of my goals this year is to figure out where I belong. I drive past capitol on my way to work everyday but I would like to check out evergreen. And Centralia is a bit outta the way for me.
