Hi. I'm Matt Caldwell, a knifemaker from Lake Stevens. I set up at some of the gun shows & enjoy searching for cool guns. Sometimes I even sell a gun or two. I like highly accurate .22s (metallic silhouette shooter), along with S&W revolvers, lever actions, and the occasional MSR. I like them all, antique to modern. Oh yeah, I like knives too, but I'm not here to talk shop; I'm here to check out guns!

Very cool!
Welcome to WaGuns! What’s the furthest you have taken a .22 pistol out to (distance and size of target).

Have never shot a .22 pistol past 100 meters (ram silhouette), but have shot 300 yards with my .22 rifle on a high power pig silhouette. I help run a long range .22 silhouette match at Seattle Rifle & Pistol. We shoot intermediate sized targets at 50, 100, 150 & 200 meters. Tons of fun & a bit challenging.

Hi Matt I've been relocated to Texas for awhile though before when I lived in Puget Sound was in the habit of attending the IHMSA matches at Paul Bunyan in Puyallup. The match director is a great guy and nice crew of folks at the matches regularly. If you miss ringing 100 metre smallbore ram's that would be the ticket for you

Welcome on Board Neighbor, When you are shooting where do you shoot? You go down to the flats or out to Seattle Rifle or somewhere else?
BTW there is a knife section so feel free to talk shop as well!

I only live a few miles from Seattle Rifle and Pistol, and have been a member for years. Used to plink on Green Mountain & other places on the Mountain Loop, but that seems to be frowned upon these days. Shot out near Darrington with a friend from Arlington, but haven't been back there since the slide.
