The North End Supporters Box is ready again!

To be eligible:

* You must be a site supporter (make the donation before joining the drawing, click on the yellow "Donate" button toward the top of the page).
* You must be willing to meet North of I-90 to Marysville.
* You must be willing/able to pick up the box, go through it, add your contributions, post the drawing and get it to the new person within one month (the sooner the better, but if you don't think you can handle the responsibility of doing this in less than 30 days, please don't join the drawing).
* You must log the items you take/add in a notebook found inside the box. For example, "On 2/28/2015, JohnDoe took one AR magazine and put in 5 AK magazines."
* You must add items of equal or greater value than what you remove (this is important to keep the PIF Box interesting/fun/high value).
* You will take the time to skim the notes in the log book AND take the time to help label stuff in the box. (Especially stuff you put in. If its a brace or handle or barrel or holster or whatever, label it clearly or bag it with a label so everyone can figure out what stuff is without playing guessing games.

A simple "in" will do.

I will take the list of names and randomize it 3 times. The name at the top of the list is the winner.

The drawing will be 1 week from today (on Tuesday 11/19). I'm in Edmonds but can be somewhat flexible on meeting place.

-----------------------
P.S.
The box is pretty much maxed out on space and is VERY heavy, and a lot of this stuff has been in here for a very long time (at least the past 2 times I've picked up the box). At some point, and likely soon, there needs to be a purge to make room for new stuff. I'm not sure what everyone believes to be the most appropriate way to deal with that, but I have a few ideas:

1) Appoint a member (or someone can volunteer) to take out the items that aren't moving and bring them to the New Year's Day 2020 shoot for deposit onto the "free" table.
2) Take out the items that aren't moving and dump/donate/dispose of them.
3) Swap boxes with the South End or the Central group to give each region a fresh set of items to peruse.

I'm open to other ideas...but a lot of what is in there is low value, obscure, or both, which is why I think it's accumulating.

I like idea number one, except maybe do the same for all three PIF boxes. I know the South Sound box is the same way, in need of cleanup/refresh. It will make for one huge PIF table at the NY shoot. :wagwoot:

#1, followed by #2 for whatever is left, sounds like a grand idea.

We have two tables at the New Years shoot, one that's just plain "free shit, please make it disappear" and one that's "if we call your number, pick one item off of this table." If you cleanse the PIF box(es), separate the items into the two categories so they can go onto the appropriate table.

I’m in. The last two times I had it I took out stuff to donate to youth shooting sports volunteers. If it is still full after the NY shoot I can take it and do the same thing.

#3 might also be a fun way to mix it up every so often.
Though I agree #1 is a good idea. One thing that will help is that most items are now labeled so the guessing games are a bit less for black rifle parts, holsters and assundry other items in the box.

Another idea to both lighten the box, reduce the space, and still add good stuff, might be to have an envelope in there with stuff to give away that you contact directly. So for box or two of random ammo, reloading stuff, bulky items, etc.. there is a envelope with say a index card describing in detail the item and contact info (Or use the PM system to contact!)

NOTE NOT In. I just had it.
