It's that time of year that we go through our office freezer and clear out anything that is obsolete, discontinued, or unable to be shipped as a sample for one reason or another (usually a technicality on labeling or customer specs). Or, we just need to make space for more product. In this PIF, the winner will have his or her choice of any 5 of the following items:

Image

As pictured, from left to right, and front to back:
  • 8oz AA CO Yellowfin Tuna Steaks (x2) - wild caught and processed in the Marshall Islands
  • 6oz AA CO Yellowfin Tuna Steaks (x2) - wild caught and processed in the Marshall Islands
  • 12oz Natural Swordfish Steaks (x2) - wild caught and processed in Vietnam
  • 5oz Albacore Tuna Burger Patties (x4) - wild caught and processed in the Cook Islands
  • 1.2-lb AA CO Yellowfin Tuna Poke Cubes w/ Shoyu sauce (16oz tuna, 3.2oz sauce) - wild caught in Micronesia, processed in Thailand; sauce made in USA
  • 2-lb Littleneck Clams w/ Classic French Mariniere sauce (24oz clams, 8oz sauce) - wild harvested and processed in New Zealand; sauce made in USA
  • 2-lb Littleneck Clams w/ Lemon Garlic Butter sauce (24oz clams, 8oz sauce) - wild harvested and processed in New Zealand; sauce made in USA
  • 2-lb Shrimp Ceviche* Caribbean style (12oz shrimp, 20oz salsa) - farm raised and processed in Vietnam; salsa made in USA
  • 2-lb Fish Ceviche* Mazatlan style (12oz pangasius, 20oz salsa) - farm raised and processed in Vietnam; salsa made in USA

Not a true ceviche because it has been poached, but it is designed to simulate it.

Because these are food products intended for human consumption, I am obligated to make the following disclaimers/cautionary statements:
  • All products are to be kept frozen until just before they are to be eaten.
  • Follow all directions on the package for storing, handling, and defrosting.
  • Raw or undercooked seafood may be hazardous to your health. Be sure to fully cook any and all raw seafood products. Consume at your own risk.
  • Before cooking or consuming seafood, always do an olfactory check (smell it) for indications of spoilage or decomposition.
  • Tuna and Swordfish have been known to contain elevated levels of mercury and should therefore not be consumed by women who are pregnant.
  • This product is not to be sold under any circumstance.

I will end this PIF on Thursday, December 29th. The winner will be randomly selected from the list of entrants using Random.org. To enter, simply reply "In". This will be too costly to ship, so winner must be able to meet locally (somewhere between Seattle and Lynnwood).

Bon appetite! :cheers2:
