I have 25 different types of .22 ammo, 15 rounds of each left. What I'm thinking is I'll give away 5 rounds of each, to 3 people. You'll get 25 plastic baggies, with 5 rounds in each bag (125 rounds). Each will be numbered. I'll keep a master record of what each is. I can either provide it to you before you shoot, or after. The intent is you to sit down, and shoot 25 groups, without prejudice. Figure out which ammo your .22 likes best. You'll need to keep records of your work, and share it with us. It's science, not screwing around. Is 5 rounds of each enough? If 5 rounds isn't enough, then I'll only have 10 rounds available, for 1 person. You tell me. Drawing will be when I think enough people have seen it and entered. Definitely before Christmas. <Site Supporters only, I'll pay shipping or hand-deliver at the New Years day shoot.> (Apparently shipping might bankrupt me, so we might need to figure something out.)

Awesome PIF! In for sure, but what .22 firearm should be used to test all of these?
Perhaps the obvious answer is correct...the .22 I don't own yet, but should now buy... hmm... :-)

Wow, this could be a VERY cool PIF for a .22 owner!

Looks like there are only 2 people that are interested, so I'm declaring them the winners.
As an FYI, I talked to some guys at the most recent Kenmore Benchrest shoot (they are trying to convince me to show up for the .22 matches) and they looked over the ammo collection. They said it's all "junk" (except the Eley Sport) and won't be any good for matches or serious shooting.
So I guess the test would be, "which bulk/cheap ammo does your rifle like best". It might not be a useful test if you want great groups. If I get a bolt .22 I might need to do this test again, but with Match ammo.
In the meantime, we can close this out. I'll work with the 2 below to figure out how to make a delivery.

Well, it might be "junk" in the eyes of the elite .22 shooters, but for most of us it's exactly what we need: To find out which reasonably-priced ammo shoots the best in our guns.

My 10/22 doesn't need match ammo. Feel free to lock this post now. Nobody posted in a week so I figure it's done.
