WaGuns blocked from work? Solutions inside.

Wed Feb 29, 2012 7:23 pm

Some companies firewalls and IT people think that you shouldn't be surfing firearm related websites while at work. Well, to me, that is just plain unacceptable.

Here is a solution that may work for you!

LOL.....

Me - "Steve, I'm freaking out!!! The firewall wont let me get to WGO since the server swap"

Heads up for Boeing guys, the http://server1.waguns.org/~waguns/ link works for visiting WGO (on your approved breaks and lunch time of course) thumbsup

The Company I retired from tried that crap too. Just about everything outside the company was blocked by the firewall.

For some dumb reason they didn't block AOL though. I just kept an AOL account, logged in through the network, and went anywhere I pleased. Even turned the monthly AOL subscription in on my Expense Report. Told my "boss" it was for the research I had to do.

I remember King County used a firewall that blocked everything, but I found a way around it! It was called "Bernard Security" and the logo was a Saint Bernard dog, so I "Fooled the Guard dog"!

Just use a proxy they haven't blocked yet. Here are a few... Https may prevent them easily reading what you browse & type.

My last IT position gave me access to all of the data closets. I took and routed my room jack through the 4th floor executive closet - problem solved.

Current position... I can surf ANY gun site without issue
