So I just posted a new thread on an unrelated subject and in it my avatar turned to a clickable ad for Credit Checks? Is that happening to anyone else or is it time I finally put my computer out to pasture? Plus, my browser will stop responding (Pale Moon) and a little bit (10, maybe 15 seconds) later I`ll get a message to decide if I want to stop a script WGO is performing. Will update this post if/when it happens again. EDITNo sooner had I posted this thread than that error message came up. Wasn`t able to get the script but this time I decided to let the script do its thing. Just after that my browser stopped responding (AGAIN) and I had to close it out and open again. Got the script on a sticky note with a pen: mchat/jquery-1.5.0min.js:16

I have been having trouble with the site locking up on my phone. Don't know if it's related, but it's odd.

When the site locks up, please PM me a date and time. I want to reference it to the DB logs. I did play with the header code of the mobile HTML 2 days ago, so I need to try and track down if that was the cause. Also, when you say "locks up", what do you mean?
As far as you wilson, no... That is NOT our site. That is some ad/malware running on your end that's attempting to piggyback on the mchat java script. Try a different browser and make sure your java is up to date.

I always use full site even for mobile. I think I was moving from post to post or possibly getting into the site and the header says waguns but the screen stays white and won't go anywhere, can't even go back. Seems to sometime resolve itself with time. Only happened with this site

And I would add.... You should be running this on your computer at least once per month. And if you come across things on the internet saying, "WARNING!! Your computer might be infected!! Click here to fix it!" If you didn't have a virus before....You WILL have one once you click it! Read the pop up boxes If you don't know what it is talking about..X out of it...or....(assuming you're on a windows machine).....hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select Task Manager and close the browser! DON"T recover tabs when you open it again. If you are using Internet Explorer.... QUIT! Use firefox or Chrome. If you are going to surf porn.... Use a private browser option Chrome's reads "Pages you view in incognito tabs won’t stick around in your browser’s history, cookie store, or search history after you’ve closed all of your incognito tabs. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be kept. Learn more about incognito browsing Going incognito doesn’t hide your browsing from your employer, your internet service provider, or the websites you visit." But it will help stop pop-ups and weird software from running. Oh and 'password' is useless as a password to an online system...it is literally at the TOP of every password hacker list....why? because people are stupid enough to use it...a lot! Don't be stupid...if you have to write down your user names and passwords in a notebook. And while I am talking about passwords...... But for god's sake, don't leave it next to the computer...store the notebook in pantry, or a shoe box, or the junk drawer. And NEVER TAPE THE PASSWORD FOR A COMPUTER....TO THE COMPUTER! I have an office of 16 computers...5 of those computers have the passwords taped to them. Because the user "forgets it". Doesn't matter how many time I tell them not to do it....it still happens. My tower computer password is 22 characters long and has capital letters, numbers and special characters in it. Your chances of cracking my tower password are slim and none....the chances of cracking a computer which has the password taped to it is 100% and the chances of cracking a computer with the password near it...is 75% or higher. You want a password for website .... use 5 of them...1 for your banking, 1 for Medical, 1 for paypal, 1 for Amazon/ebay, and 1 for forums Change the first 4 every quarter. Chance the last one once per year. /soapbox

Already have it, says there`s nothing wrong, and now images themselves are becoming ads. At least WGO isn`t freezing anymore.

Run boot time scan for best effect.

Here`s a screencap of this page as it stands now. You tell me, I`m terrible with technical terminology.

Start>Control Panel> Programs and Features
If you don't know what those programs are...there is a good chance you can uninstall them. Better yet...screen shot it and post it and we'll confirm it for you.
Just because the browser doesn't show a tool bar...doesn't mean there isn't one hanging out in the background.
And why are you using pale moon? Firefox updates more and benchmarks better.
Or you can switch to chrome, and tell it to stop running in the background, and to auto purge on close
You didn't by chance suddenly star having V9.com as a web page did you?
