Is it possible to subscribe to a forum without receiving email notifications?

No, I don't know what tapatalk is. I've heard of it, but never investigated it.
I just like to do my browsing from my control panel.
I like the subscriptions to threads and forums in a list, so I don't have to scroll through all the stuff I'm not interested in. That would work here, quite well, but then the forum sends me notifications every time someone makes a new post.
Usually, I pay attention to email I get from forums, but if there's no way to turn off the notifications, I'll just funnel them to the trash with the rest of the spam.

You can bookmark a topic then. Subscribe will send you notifications, bookmarking will not.
