Private messages - stuck in outbox?

Hi, I've sent a few PMs in the last day but it looks like they are stuck in the outbox? I see the messages in the outbox but not in the sent folder, is this normal?

Yeah until the person reads them on the site.

They stay in the outbox until the recipient reads them. Then they show up in sent.
