As a kid I sang in a choir for a couple years.. We had a spring chorus, and a winter chorus... and of course winter = Christmas.. So, I guess the spirit just hit me, and I caught my self singing O Holy Night, which was one of my solos..... I actually remember it quite well, because I was 11, and went to hit the high notes and my voice cracked... I grabbed some water, started again and... cracked again... couldn't hit the high notes anymore.. lol.. Fucking puberty.

Yeah, don't worry, it was under my breath... I stopped when I realized what I was doing. heh... But it was Nat King Cole singing it on the store radio and it put a smile on my face... Like I said, dunno, but the nostalgia just hit me right in the gut and I ran with it, without realizing it. Had me thinking of being a kid and watching the peanuts christmas specials every year.

I also used to be able to sing Gloria in Excelsis Deo by heart... and yes.. in Latin.....

Not a made my day thing. I'm happy and sad I saw my cousin and got to hang out with him. It was this morning I knew it was the last time I would see him alive.

Upon landing in Nashville, my uncle "updated" me on my cousin's MRI sessions from today. Cancer has spread to his spine and he now has 2 lesions in his brain.

I got a promotion a couple months back, and inherited the previous guys scrap wood mess. 6-7 years worth of stacks, piles, and avalanches covered inches deep in sawdust. It completely surrounds the work station, and I spent the first week tripping over it as I learned the job. This during the busiest production time of the year.

Been racking my brains trying to figure out how I could organize the space after I finally do get it back under control, so I don't fall into the same trap in the long run. The biggest issue being that even once I get it organized, it's still very difficult to keep the space clean. (Lots of heavy equipment and tables bolted to the floor makes sweeping more than a chore!)

Last night I'm driving through the neighborhood when I find one of these laying in the street, in the gutter.

PERFECT!!! And a $750 value. To me though? Priceless.

I was in CavemanJim’s AO prior to 0700 this morning on Hwy 8 when I managed to keep my truck from making contact with a car in the right lane and keep myself from ending up in the median…at 60mph after I started loosing traction. Engaged 4x4 as soon I got straight and kept it moving.

Them's some lucky ass sheep! Even luckier that he's gonna be ok, and back on the job. I'd have a plaque made for that beast, with a distinguished service award for uncommon valor and courage in the face of overwhelming odds.

Dang brother, glad you’re all right. It gets damn dicey coming through the Black Hills and down to McCleary but you were probably in the Elma Satsop area on Highway 12.
If anyone ever gets in a pickle out here let me know! :thumbsup2:

Sorry to hear Eddie. :crybaby: I wish him peace during his time left on this earth.

Yeah, that's one badass dog!

I'm trying to figure out the owner, though. He said the fight lasted for half an hour; what was he doing, just watching?

One of these days I’m going to stop getting 8 and 12 mixed up. I was on 8. After 101 and before McCleary it was a hot mess. The plows hadn’t even gotten to the intersections yet, nor the left lane west bound.

Years ago I’d been coming down to fish the Satsop and Wynoochee rivers, over 30+ years and I too had confusion with them.
Olympia (mud bay) - Elma= Hyw 8
At Elma Hwy 12 goes to Aberdeen and Chehalis. :wink05: P
