Our state supreme court.... decided that RACE should play a factor in taxes, not only a 'factor', but a role in deciding if it's constitutional or not.
Part of their argument is, 'well, white people are the rich ones, and this won't impact black people, so it's only fair they get taxed'...
Now, imagine Maryland and Illinois put an excise tax on firearms purchases, but only in 'urban' zip codes...and said 'Well, black people commit the most firearm homicides, and it only impacts people in these areas that commit the most crimes, so it's OK'...
That's basically what they said. They are using racial discrimination to influence their decision to allow an unconstitutional act to continue..
WTF.

This is highly reminiscent of the infamous "Chewbacca" defense argument.
The correct conclusion is that ALL taxation (including fees, etc) are racist and therefore nullified- particularly as a violation of equal protection principles.

Seems like the dissenters weren't that far behind....
They basically claim there's no such thing as income tax... since income is property, it's a property tax... They only dissented because it exceeded the allowable amount of property tax.
