Had to erase and change this post since I can't delete it. Thought I had found a deal for everyone but then I saw the VERY FINE print...

Just curious Nitro - what was the non-starter? Lock-in of price per unit, maybe? Nitro_Guns wrote: Had to erase and change this post since I can't delete it. Thought I had found a deal for everyone but then I saw the VERY FINE print... Sent from my H8314 using Tapatalk

Generally don't move or get interested for anything less than .49 over spot. Frankly .29 over spot is more what it should be for more generic rounds. higher can be expected for Eagles or Maples. But even those shouldn't be too high. $10-15 1oz equivalent is what I'm looking for in gold coins. (i.e. for Sovereigns and francs which are partials, figure out how many per 1oz and multiply that by the over spot.) If I had had the money there were a bunch to be had at that price these last couple of weeks. ALSO, based on past experience if the price of silver rises back in the $15-$16 range expect the over spot to come back down.
I'll make sure to post anything I get notice of as I am on most of the email chains.

Better price .40 over spot each https://bullionexchanges.com/10-oz-gene ... 12.11.2018Also, the 100oz bars are .30 over spot. So less than $1500 for one.

Been thinking of selling my silver rounds. I got 5 of them in a trade last year when it was a little higher than it is now.

I have often thought about investing in silver but what keeps me from doing so is the spot value compared to the selling price. Most cases to break even the silver price has to rise at least $0.60 per ounce. This maybe more palatable in a strong market where prices are rising, but you have to know when to sell to come out ahead. It has the same vulnerability as the stock market, which fluctuates up and and own on a regular basis and is subject to crashes as much as anything.
If there is something more to this than I am seeing I would love to hear... learn.
