I -try- to avoid criticizing a person who I vehemently disagree with for traits that are not related to the reason for my disagreement...
i.e. I don't make fun of someone's looks, name, or mannerisms. I try to stick to the policy or ideological disagreement. I perform a little mental exercise to help me remember it... "How would I view this mannerism if she were an ardent pro-2A politician?" I realize that I wouldn't give a darned about any of her strange mannerisms. It'd be enough that she supported the 2A. It's tough with this one... Her motions seem so "plastic" and contrived. She seems fake as hell, and unconscious of it. Basically, I fail in my attempt to not utterly despise her and other politicians who are openly anti-2A. I try, but I fail. |

I saw her at the beginning of that video and it strongly struck me that she looked like she was dead but didn't know it, and the rigor mortis was setting in. She could have been my own grandmother and I would have noticed it.
