John Deere should be on your list. Not the cheapo Home Depot John Deere’s. The ones from JD dealers

This^^^^^. Buy once cry once. I bought my JD in 98 & it’s still running like a Deere. Routine maintenance is the key to anything with a motor...
I bought it used $600 (2yrs old) leaking oil at the head gasket, fixed it for $40 & came with nice and aluminum loading ramps.

Here is something these other folks don't know: can you attach a snow plow? being a fellow Midwesterner, I wish I had a plow for my mower to "shovel" the driveway in winter. I know many lawn mowers have the option, I just didn't get one, because I was a newb in home ownership in the Midwest.

The two I'm looking at have this option, but we get as much snow as Olympia here. So not needed. Besides, I have a Subaru.

If it ends up in front of a full size Ford diesel, a subaru IS a snow plow attachment.
