Curious to know what any of you would do if you had a timeline on when you are headed for that long dirt nap. We all have dreams and stuff but I'm talking reality and affordability.

I would get together with my family and remind them how much they mean to me.

Sounds like an episode of Star Trek voyager. Further thought: What would you do if you knew the world would end in 48 hours?

Friend of mine showed up a few years back. Hadn't seen him in more than 20 years. We used to be inseparable in high school, but pussy intervened and I followed the siren's song and left my buddy behind.... He was rather pissed at how abruptly I left "the gang" and we never spoke again as I just (stupidly) never made time for my old friends... So it was odd that he would show up, unannounced, to shoot the shit for an afternoon. As he was leaving I suggested we do this again sometime and he responded rather non-committally and had a funny half smile on his face... was never able to get in touch with him again and he never called either. A some months later... a year? I received notice for his memorial service. My mom kind of did the same thing... i.e. went on as if she didn't know, and wasn't going to tell me she had received a fatal diagnosis. Tough thing. Sure, I'd go see folks I know/knew and love(d). Not sure if I would be the strong silent type or would say what prompted my visit and display of affection. Last days would probably include... Hookers and Blow!!!! (jk)

I would definitely contact people that had an impact on my life to say thank you for being my friend.

All depends on the timeline man. A month, a year, a week?
Being brutally honest with everyone you still had thoughts to share with. Recording some videos for kids you wont see grow up. Sell or arrange pricing for things to sell when you're gone. Try and make your mark in some way (creating or achieving). And maybe settling up before taking the last week to dissapear so no one you love has to go through the scene of finding you dead.
But if I knew ~how~ as well as when, I'd find a way to avoid the date altogether. ;)

After being around quite a few people close to the end, then seeing them go, I wouldn't really change anything
Live well and love often
Take care of yourself and those around you (even if they have nothing to offer in return)
Forgiveness is critical, not only towards others but also for yourself
Get your finances in order, also your paperwork, and that crap in the garage (While it was nice to be able to throw away a bunch of chap out of my Dad's garage I really wish he had done so 20 years ago)

I think many people who are given the "you have X amount of time to live" speech, would have outlived their expiration date if they HAD NOT been told at all.
I think the mind can kill people faster then disease/cancers.

Live each day like it's your last, then there's nothing to do, no regrets.
