Lets pretend that Trump gets impeached... AND removed from office.

Can he not still be elected again?

You want to watch dem heads explode, impeach him, remove him from office, and then watch him get elected again...

"Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm -- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves." – T.S. Eliot

"The right of self defence is the first law of nature: in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest limits possible. Wherever standing armies are kept up, and the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any colour or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction." - St. George Tucker

A careful definition of words would destroy half the agenda of the political left and scrutinizing evidence would destroy the other half. - Thomas Sowell

"To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the innocent and law-abiding that their rights and liberties depend not on their own conduct, but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless, and that the law will permit them to have only such rights and liberties as the lawless will allow...

For society does not control crime, ever, by forcing the law-abiding to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of criminals. Society controls crime by forcing the criminals to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of the law-abiding." - Jeff Snyder

Personal weapons are what raised mankind out of the mud, and the rifle is the queen of personal weapons. The possession of a good rifle, as well as the skill to use it well, truly makes a man the monarch of all he surveys. It realizes the ancient dream of the Jovian thunderbolt, and as such it is the embodiment of personal power. For this reason it exercises a curious influence over the minds of most men, and in its best examples it constitutes an object of affection unmatched by any other inanimate object.

At this point I think Trump has it so tied up that even if he was impeached, and removed from office...

All he would have to do is to sign and submit the right papers, to be a candidate... Never campaign, never even show up for debates... And he would still win.

Actually if I recall I think one of the consequences the Senate can enact is a Prohibition on running for office, although that's not a given even in cases of removal. It has to be specifically added on. That said, I don't think the Senate is likely to convict him of anything.

Trump wants the Senate trial to last weeks, and put the Bidens, whistleblower, and Adam Shit, (Liar-CA) on the stand.
McConnell wants to end the trial as soon as the majority whip says there are enough votes for an acquittal.

If there's going to be a trial, I want a deep cleansing trial that lasts as long as it takes to verify as much as possible any and all corruption that took place in Ukraine by members of our .Gov and any of their family. Or friends.

This cronyism and nepotism and growing wealthy on the backs of the US citizens (beyond their base pay) is a serious cancer in our nation. The "ruling class" is something that we supposedly did away with back in the late 1700's.

Dig deep, flip rocks, break out the high pressure and high temperature pressure washer.
Unfortunately, we're likely to find some of our "allies" under those rocks.

a lot of our "allies".

Hence why some want it to last just long enough to get enough votes to toss out.

A lot of people are talking about how the dems are afraid of losing power. Some say that some are trying now, to ditch this, for fear of losing power.

I think it's mostly about just how many people stand to lose their freedom.

Just found this, and recommend anyone interested in the recent IG report read it.

It is the most concise summary of the last 3 years I've found yet.

Brennan, Clapper, Comey. Which one goes to prison first? I dearly hope that the criminals pay for this bona fide coup attempt.

It probably goes much higher than that, but no idea what the chances are of that being stated publicly any time soon.

In Re the IG report

"For those who don’t speak IG parlance, it means the FBI made nine false assertions to the FISA court. In short, what the bureau said was contradicted by the evidence in its official file.

To put that in perspective, former Trump aides Mike Flynn and George Papadopoulos were convicted of making single false statements to the bureau. One went to jail already, and the other awaits sentencing."
