Sure, I'll bite.
I've been collecting watches for 25 years.
Rolex, Omega, VC, Patek, Zenith El Primero's, Titoni, Panerai, Cartier mostly. All mechanical.
Got started on Timezone.com, first watch was an Invicta Auto Diver for $90. Hahaha
Used to import Zenith from England, hate all their new stuff.
Took a couple watch making classes, I like regulating watches.
Sold most of my watches and gave a bunch to my kids. Found other hobbies.
My daily wear is a Rolex P Series SeaDweller I bought new in 2001.
Also have a 18K/18K Mont D'Or Chronograph, and a Panerai Tantalum chrono.

Sure...

I met a master watch maker, and he ended up giving me an ad hoc training over a couple months on how to disassemble/reassemble a watch. (I'm a nerd for most things mechanical).

At the end of the training, I broke down a pocket watch to discrete components, reassembled it, and it worked! Learned to wear a face mask during the process. One little sneeze, and rubies scatter like dust.

Got into vintage Japanese dive watches, and vintage Russian watches. Still have a few laying about, but have also moved on from this "hobby". Grandson is recipient of several, will probably get the rest at some point.

Been accumulating for only the last 5 or 6 years. Lower end mechanicals, mix of autos and handwinds, but I like them and rotate wear every few days or so.

Mine are mainly German. Have 5 from Stowa, and 1 flieger from Laco.
And a couple weeks ago, took delivery of a Yema (French) watch in a bronze case. Haven't been able to get this thing off my wrist since I got it. It's starting to patina up, nicely. :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

I took surevaliance's advice and got a Vostok watch from eBay for $32 OTD and it works great! Have to get use to how it operates, not like anything I've used before. Self winding, old world craftsmanship.

I had a Russian mechanical watch in my stash I never used, but it is not a Vostok watch, but Buran. I don't like the hands, they are too small so I sold it.

It took me forever on finding with the English translation of my watch was so I could sell it appropriately.

Vostok's are my favorite of the Russian watches. Got to be careful of Russian watches, though...they'll slap any old movement in a case and pass it off if to the unsuspecting if they can.

Here is a custom that I put together. Vostok dial, Swiss auto movement, custom hands, second hand, and dial ring, see through caseback. I sourced parts from several countries to assemble this.

Hard to find these days, wish I had more. Great deal on a well made Swiss watch.
I still have this one but it needs a service, ex wife and my kids wore it.

I have tons more watch pictures, just have to figure out which drives they are on.
A lot are kinds crappy and digital cameras in 2000 werent what they are now.
Some are scans from my flat bed scanner. Hahaha

My Glycine. Cheap and durable. They’ve been bought by Invicta but so far quality hasn’t changed much. Their volume has and the discounts are pretty good.

Ashford has a ton of Glycine watches.
In the 90's they were famous for their many 24 hour dial pilot watches and the huge incursore.
