We need EVERYONE's help to get 1094 signatures. Let's repeal 1639!

(MOD note: I'm creating a new thread to focus exclusively on gathering signatures--we can discuss the initiative in the other thread)

Can you commit to getting three friends to go to one of the locations on that map and sign? And post how many you've been able to get wrangle to sign in this thread?


And can you help us get even MORE?! We need LOTS more. Like 300k total!

There is a Facebook group #F1639 - Repeal 1639 where there is some loose coordination with the state if you're interested.

Today was an awesome day! Spent 6 hours in front of Sportsman’s Warehouse with waglocker and sureveillance (sp?). And we collected nearly 200 signatures! These guys were on fire! Ain’t nobody getting past them on the way to the entrance!

Waglocker said he was considering orchestrating another station at the Puyallup Sportsman’sWarehouse on Black Friday, and another new member here is going to run the Federal Way location on Black Friday!

Who else can join them? It’s best to have at least one other in each location, and ideally one in the afternoon and one in morning!

We're having an awesome, major signing event at the UW/WSU Apple Cup game on Black Friday in Seattle.

Who wants to come and join us? You can spend two hours or eight!

It’ll be a blast taking to EVERYONE and gathering signatures as fast as we can!

I’m going to be there all day with a pop-up tent and tables. We'll have two folks from WAGuns (well, three, including me!) and a few more from the F1639 Facebook group.

You can take the train in and out so you don’t have to worry about parking. We're posted RIGHT AT THE train station!

Concealed carry is fine on the train and on location.

This Friday, the set up for signing the petitions will be at Apple 1 and if enough people are assisting during the entire time, apple 2.
Plan on it being cold. The wind whips through this area fast and hard.

There are restrooms / porta potties at the south side of the stadium where the tailgating is.

On a separate note...Does 1639 create any special exemptions for law enforcement concerning storage, training, and/or possession of "assault weapons".....?

UPDATE 2: SIGNING EVENT AT SPORTSMAN'S WAREHOUSE, FEDERAL WAY ON BLACK FRIDAY!

Jason Lewis, one of our own, is running a table at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Federal Way on Black Friday, 8am to about ~2-3pm. He could use a couple of people to help throughout the day.

Who can join him?

It'll be an EASY day for you. They either say, "I've already signed!" or "Hell yes I'll sign!" or "What is 1639? Oh, hell yes, I'll sign!" Or they just walk on by. We did nearly 200 signatures last Saturday-this'll be even easier!
