Because someone wanted to be sure that Africa got their share of the drugs, instead of them being shuffled off to the EU, or US, behinds the scenes, so someone would make more profit?

That was my very first thought. Not that the quality is worse, just not the bottles they mark up and "sell" to us, to subsidize cheaper drugs for.............Africa

Good news on the effectiveness of the vaccines. Nursing homes report an 82% decline in COVID infections since December, vs a 46% reduction in the general public. Attributed to nursing home residents getting vaccinated early
My wife and I were talking about the vaccine, and I'm sure this line of thought has been brought up here. But if the vaccine is so effective, why the masks after you get your second dose? Shouldn't a person have immunities that would help fight it off better than a non vaccinated person? Are people really still able to carry it and pass it along like the .gov says? Our thought was that if vaccinated people stopped wearing masks, because their risk of illness is very low, then the non-vaccinated folks, who don't want to mask up, would stop as well and the .gov would lose some control over the people. Who's to say if you got it or not? Aside from the number of obvious controlist issues and propaganda, this just seemed a strange one to us.

Masks are NOT about protecting the wearer.
Masks are ONLY about keeping SOME larger snot balls to yourself.
Vaccines are working already. Masks not so much.

The word is that the data is not yet in, on whether vaccinated people can pass the virus to non-vaccinated people.’ I expect that further studies will show that vaccinated people, even if infected, carry such a small viral load they cannot infect others.

How do we know the mRNA therapy is working? (it's NOT a vaccine)
Do the summer months and warmer weather have an effect?
What happened to the flu?
By the definition of the word "vaccine", it is indeed a vaccine. Define "working", yes that is a good question as so far most evidence is anecdotal. The studies show the vaccines to be effective, so far no data shows they are not.
Unknown on the summer impact but last summer did not seem to slow anything.
Flu is almost nonexistent currently. I 100% predicted this, you can find my post. There are theories on this, some people say masks, maybe, I think it is mainly is people not digging their noses and staying away from others, especially sick people FINALLY not walking around sick (imagine that) etc. There also is a dominant disease theory. When one cold/flu is running rampant the others stay in the background.
