I’m searching for a good 2.4ghz/5ghz WiFi access point for remote use.
What I want to do is run an Ethernet cable from a switch in the house out to shop some 200ft away and connect it to a wireless access point inside the shop so I can have WiFi there. There’s like 10 zillion products (AP’s, extenders, etc.) on the market but none of them say specifically their capable of doing this.
Any manufacture/model you might recommend? I don’t mind paying extra for a good quality product.

If you are going to run a cable to the shop, then any wireless router can act as a bridge. If you want a true linked / mesh network, UniFi can provide WAP's that are stout. You can even nix the ethernet cable and do a wireless mesh using a B2B Bridge.

A guy at work was just raving about his Ubiquiti setup today. I’ve never heard of this kit but I trust the guy’s judgement when it comes to tech. It’s basically enterprise grade stuff at consumer pricing. https://www.ui.comSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Even for just a basic wifi access point a single Unifi is a great option, plus it gives you the options as already noted by others.

It is so nice, I put a standalone WAP in my house, and will add additional via the meshing capabilities. I have a UDM for the bosses house I just setup that will have 2 WAPs, as well. The VP at my company (a member on here too) has a WAP in his house too and will probably steal the companies CKG2+ and USG once the UDM-Pro comes out.

We also have one of their controllers in the house. Seemless wifi when I go from the house to garage with the meshing and I have signal all the way to our back fenceline for when streaming tunes mowing the lawn. :-p

I just did this exact thing.
I ran a 75 foot cat6/ethernet cable ($15) out to the shop, put a $50 linksys router in the ROOF rafters of the garage and now I have wifi for over an ACRE.
Plugged it into one of the OUT ethernet ports on the router inside the house and thought I was going to have to cuss and bitch all night trying to figure out how to reconfigure/bridge/contort the thing to work, but all I did was turn it on, put the password into our phones/tablets and the new shop TV and it works great. No problems.
about $70 done.

Upgrade the controller to the Gen2+ and you get Protect, for the cameras. Grab a few of the G3 Flex's and a couple injectors and you have a 24/7 camera system that is stored on the Gen2+ box, yet accessible via the cloud.

It was $50 and the cable was $15 and I got a 32" roku Phillips smart tv for $130 while I was there. So for under $200 I have smart TV in my shop/reloading room and wifi that works all over my property. Ive gotten a lot more ammo loaded since!

That's a router not a access point specifically. Here's my plan House router -> Ethernet cable -> access point (or Linksys E5400) in shop.Did you plug the Ethernet cable in to the Internet port? Is it this router? https://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Dual-Ban ... B07T9FTFX5

Well. He mentioned that he had to put in his password, so it’s safe to assume that it’s not an AP, or bridged, but two different networks.

If you use a 2nd router as an access point, you need to make sure you "dumb it down" to act as an AP, and not as a router.
Make sure you set the SSID and the encryption key to the exact same as the primary wifi router so you can easily hop from AP to AP. If the primary wifi router is 192.168.1.1, the AP should be 192.168.1.2. (Or in the same subnet, outside of the DHCP range the primary wifi router is handing out.)
