I've been forming groups of friends here.
My circle includes 3 from California and 1 from Oregon. All pro-gun Conservatives who fled the left coast. Big open outdoor gun range yesterday, several acres of huge outdoor bays with berm barriers. Lots of people. I even heard full auto fire from one of the big open pit outdoor bays.
I rarely meet liberals here. My nearby neighbors are a lesbian couple. They have zero signs of any sort. They are quiet and keep to themselves. Not obnoxious, no moronic signs or behaviors to contend with. I rarely see any leftists bumper stickers or signs. I try to count them. I've seen 2 lefty cars with bumper stickers. I've seen 1 or 2 Biden signs. I see lots and lots of American Flags and Trump signs. The conservative Boise city residents have a very vocal and active campaign to throw out the Democrat Mayor and counsel member(s). It has a lot of momentum. I think it will succeed.
BLM has I think twice tried to start trouble in Boise. Each time, the very strong Idaho 2nd Amendment Alliance has shown up with armed and kitted up men and women outnumbering BLM idiots by at least a 5 to 1 ratio. I believe last time it was a 10 to 1 ratio ... BLM has tucked its tail and fled without so much as jaywalking out of fear.
I don't think BLM has broken a single window here.
Idaho has handled the Corona pretty well.

Speaking as a tech worker who recently went 100% remote and left Washington, I think the biggest concern to somewhere like Idaho is that the vast majority of tech workers in Western Washington are progressive to a fault and will vote in a bunch of crap that will ruin your nice rural / conservative communities just like they have ruined most of king county. And they are convinced that big paycheck, big stock options, and knowing more about how smart phone apps work than you means they must be smarter and more "in the know" than everyone else about everything... so they just never learn. Thet just move on from placeto place blissfully voting it into a cess pool and devouring everything that is good like locusts. There are some upsides to having more money come into your economy, but there are no upsides to having west coast liberal voters come into your politics.

I’m a 100% remote tech worker. I’m waiting to hear if it’s permanent. If it is, I’ll move to cle elum or Idaho. Buy lots of land, shoot lots of guns, and vote against liberals.
We aren’t all bad.

Not Idaho-related, but I was talking to my older sister yesterday. She and my BIL are retired and own a 7-figure waterfront condo off Eastlake, overlooking Gasworks. They have decided that they have had enough and are selling. They plan to move to Whidbey Island. More surprising to me is that my nephew and his family have already listed their house, a couple of blocks from Greenlake, and are buying in south Snohomish County. These people are among the Bluest you'll ever meet and they're outta there.

i come from a land where socialism lives in the best form and the worst form. the best form being how farmers and ranchers will help each other, how a food bank works, how a logging company will clear the roads for people stuck behind mud slides, and how people will drive through flood waters to help their neighbors and strangers. that is socialism in the best form help the less fortunate make them selves better
the worst form outside of obviously nazi type activity is the selfish self sefving emotional drived socialism the feel good type that is empty and holds not water. bucket with holes in it
unfortunately many who vote BLUE as is said do not understand how to actually help anyone in a time of crisis and will run away from it all only to bred their BLUE mentality over and over again some place else
this does not work and anyone who has truely lived under socialism in the worst form will never want any type of it ever again.
there is no such thing as a utopia when human beings are involved. ever. Good people will work hard to make their lives and families better and work hard to help their fellow man succeed at the same time.
when i was a small boy and young if I needed help I was given the help but the point came when I was expected to fend for myself and all the temper tantrums i made just made it worse for me. too many here in the world today expect the temper tantrums to keep working when they are old and adults and too many adults are letting it happen. weak people, no bravery and no morality to be better they all just want to do whatever they want spoiled little brats

Those of us that are still working unable to remote, are dreaming to move to Idaho or Montana. Me, being another 5 years yet.
If you haven't already bought land, I believe that guys like me are fucked and will have to go further out, because Idaho and Montana with the property values accelerating are now beyond reach.
